I was born in Madrid in 1955 and belong to a generation shaped by the profound political and cultural changes that accompanied Spain’s democratic transition. I have been painting since my youth, and over the years art has become a way of exploring what often lies beyond the fastest and most predictable routes.
I am drawn to back roads: spaces where perception expands, where cultural codes, emotions, and imagination can find new ways of expressing themselves. I feel that moving through life like a vector, rushing from departure point to destination, diminishes and alienates many essential human capacities: the ability to perceive, appreciate, express—or choose not to express—certain emotions and feelings; the way we relate to the different dimensions in which we exist; and our capacity to encounter creativity, whether our own or that of others.
My work moves between painting, language, moving image, and, more recently, the possibilities offered by generative and audiovisual art. I see creation as a process of translation between different systems of signs: between the visible and the invisible, between word and image, between intimate experience and shared imaginaries.
Self-taught by choice, I have developed my artistic practice alongside my career as a French teacher and my academic background in Political Science. This dual perspective—both humanistic and visual—has nourished an ongoing exploration of symbols, codes, and the ways in which we construct meaning.
I have lived and worked between Spain and Morocco, particularly in Tangier, an experience that opened my work to intercultural dialogue and collaboration with artists and writers from diverse backgrounds. My work has been exhibited in Madrid, Vic, Tangier, Rabat, Casablanca, San Sebastián, Llanes, and Cuenca, among other places, and was recognized with the Absolument Artistes Award by Absolut Vodka in Morocco.
I currently live in Cuenca, a city with a strong tradition of modern and abstract art, where I continue to explore the relationships between painting, writing, sound, and image. This website brings together a selection of works, projects, and experiments that form part of an ongoing journey of exploration and transformation.

Nací en Madrid en 1955 y pertenezco a una generación marcada por los profundos cambios políticos y culturales que acompañaron la transición democrática española. Pinto desde muy joven y, con el paso de los años, el arte se ha convertido para mí en una forma de explorar aquello que suele quedar fuera de los caminos más rápidos y previsibles.
Me atraen los caminos secundarios: espacios donde la percepción se expande y donde los códigos culturales, las emociones y la imaginación pueden encontrar nuevas formas de expresarse. Siento que recorrer la vida como un vector, apresurándose del punto de partida al de llegada, empobrece y aliena muchas capacidades humanas esenciales: la capacidad de percibir, apreciar, expresar —o decidir no expresar— determinadas emociones y sentimientos; la forma en que nos relacionamos con las distintas dimensiones en las que existimos; y nuestra capacidad de encontrarnos con la creatividad, ya sea la propia o la de los demás.
Mi trabajo se sitúa en la intersección entre la pintura, el lenguaje, la imagen en movimiento y, más recientemente, las posibilidades que ofrecen el arte generativo y el audiovisual. Entiendo la creación como un proceso de traducción entre distintos sistemas de signos: entre lo visible y lo invisible, entre la palabra y la imagen, entre la experiencia íntima y los imaginarios compartidos.
Autodidacta por elección, he desarrollado mi práctica artística en paralelo a mi trayectoria como profesora de francés y a mi formación académica en Ciencias Políticas. Esta doble perspectiva —humanística y visual— ha alimentado una exploración constante de los símbolos, los códigos y las formas en que construimos significado.
He vivido y trabajado entre España y Marruecos, especialmente en Tánger, una experiencia que abrió mi obra al diálogo intercultural y a la colaboración con artistas y escritores de diversos orígenes. Mi trabajo ha sido expuesto en Madrid, Vic, Tánger, Rabat, Casablanca, San Sebastián, Llanes y Cuenca, entre otras ciudades, y fue distinguido con el Premio Absolument Artistes, concedido por Absolut Vodka en Marruecos.
